i did some testing today with various clients and the results were disappointing for opensim. hippo still works but cntrl-alt-f1 doesnt. i know that in the past hippo was using a different combo -- or was i imagining it?

i dont want to clutter up with different version of the same software, so i dont test with the 2.0 clients in opensim. the good news, SLeek works fine when you use hippo to view it.

so what do you think, is it time to check with 2.0? i hate to do it, but i will with snowglobe or beta 2.0. oh wait, the cntrl-alt-f1 is not the same for a full screen. does anyone know how to get rid of the black bar on top?

i plan to rebuild my opensim with the diva distribution. i was looking at udk3 and unity, but i decide to go back and do opensim. i think i have three running right now, but i dont bring them up that much.

so for now, i will do opensim diva distribution and work from there. my interest is in motion controlled avatars with 3rd party software. not much too for sl/opensim yet.

@ Beans - thx very much - just starting after a while to get a bit deeper in the openSim project. works pretty fine for me - hope we can interchange our expiriences.

In an attempt to expand our Machinima skills, we at Pineapple Pictures are now tinkering with may Machinima tools, but driven by the real time film crew aspects of virtual worlds and the quality of Second Life assets, we have opened the lid on OpenSim and looked inside.
