Some minor changes

Posted on October 21, 2012 at 3:41pm 0 Comments

You might notice a few changes to the site.   One is to affirm our commitment to promoting original content, and another is to expand our machinima beyond the Second Life platform.   We still highly support Second Life as an important machinima community, especially with regards to original content.  You can use the main forum area to post your links to machinima not permitted to be uploaded into our site because of content restrictions.  We welcome seeing your productions, and we will…

MAG begins accepting limited sponsorship and advertisers to offset costs (also welcome the newest Runo)

Posted on August 17, 2010 at 12:00pm 6 Comments

Hello all!

If you haven't already noticed, we are now accepting limited advertising and sponsership to offset some of the new NING subscription charges.

You have my word that most of our page real estate will still deal with machinima and the features we have all come to love such as the forums, blogs and media.

I will limit large banners to only 4 total and there will be some opportunities for right side column mini-banners as well.

Thanks for your patience… Continue

Changes in the NING platform and the Machinima Artists Guild

Posted on May 4, 2010 at 1:12pm 2 Comments

Some members have written to me, concerned with the upcoming changes in the Ning platform and what it will mean to our website.

Be rest assured the MAG website will remain intact and we will migrate along with our sister site the "Professional Machinima Artist Guild" onto the new service structure offered by Ning, our web host. This offers the "best" solution so that we do not suffer content loss or other hassles.

In the event that the Ning platform no longer offers hosting… Continue

NEWSFLASH.... The Professional Machinima Artists Guild OPEN to ALL PLATFORMS!

Posted on March 7, 2010 at 12:37pm 0 Comments

Just a bit of news. The administrators of The Professional Machinima Artists Guild have decided since the scope of that site is professional quality machinima, the site will embrace ANY machinima made on ANY platform.

So persons that have been experimenting with MAYA, 3DMAX, POSER, MOVESTORM, GARYS MOD and others can now show their professional features.

Happy Machinima Making!

Haha! I love being a "top SL Media type!" Can't wait to see how the roundtables help to shape the book. Autographed copy when it comes out, please? *smiles*

Thanks Lowe... for the heads up about my first attempt not uploading correctly. I'm a little confused by the site yet... I'm sure I'll figure it out... but I was able to embed the vimeo code successfully. I see the video on my page... not sure if it is visible to others, etc... I'll have to spend time in forums to figure what the right process is. Check out the video when you can... any feedback would be helpful. I've got a lot to learn still to be sure. Thanks -Robward
