The last of the Crossroads cycle. Lloth's drider kills one of the Ventrue, and the clans join together to defeat their common foe. Want to learn more about Crossroads? Visit

Here's the tech: shot with a nVidia graphics card, edited with Premiere and enhanced using vReveal. Moving text and credit roll created using GIMP with stills uploaded as *.tga files. The final upload into YouTube was made with an MPEG2 file.

This shoot was really difficult. We had about 40 avatars in the SIM, and they were all involved in the battle. SIM physics dipped and I was as two FPS for most of the shoot; textures would not rezz and lots of PRIM-firing (white blotches instead of texture). Fixed as much as I could in post and added the chromo-keying to pull in mattes of Lloth (I basically put her face in when there was no true texture there). This was a fun project. About 100 people worked on it over the course of almost a year.

Shows a lot of work and creativity. Terrific use of the opening and closing credits. VERY professional!

Thanks for the kind words. All the F/X in this was using the post tools in Premiere, so its rather primitive. I didn't have After Effects, but am considering upgrading to the new Adobe pro-package. [VReveal is color correction and enhancement only.]

I'll be moving to letterbox formatting once I build a new rig. Years of editing for television keeps me rooted to the 4:3 aspect ratio, and in some ways, I find that better for the small-screen work we do for platforms like YouTube. [Hmmm... maybe I'll make a thread to discuss!]

love the splitscreen and still @ 2:36 - some weird keying @ 0:35 and 1:35 - very nice credits design. wait for 16:9 format.
overall fun to watch .-)

Dynamite music, great narrative , and super transitions and some spooky monsters haha, another top class production fom Asil (tho i wondered about the space-shadows thing at 1.21 and wished it was all HD )
Tricky working with big crowds and pan-galactic time zones.... well done!
Also love the credits and the info-spec you provided below, many thanks :)
