Simply fly through, unedited except intro and trailer. Sped up 3x because I could only record 5 frames a second. Insilico is a 5 sim futuristic city in Second Life.
Music is mine. The question is, does it work to create a depressing mood. I scored it for the scene.

Comment by Ginger Alsop on February 1, 2011 at 9:36am The sounds come from Omnisphere. I can sped the video up 3x using Reaper, scored the sound track so that sounds occur where I want them. Once I rendered the audio, I pull that into Vegas, trim the video, do the fades, then render the mp4 and upload that to YouTube. I can only speed the video up to 3x in Vegas 7, but apparently you can speed it up more with subsequent versions.
The video itself is record in fraps intentionally set to 5 fps. This prevents the jerkiness / jitteriness in the recording.
Comment by Ginger Alsop on January 31, 2011 at 11:30pm Thanks everybody. Nice to hear other thoughts on it. Yes, this is done with a digital joystick, and in my other video, UWA Favs (Jan 2011), I'm finding that the joystick can create very smooth movement because it's just easier to control in SL. I can set the thresholds in the Joystick Settings, sometimes, I'll set my X-Axis to 0.20 from the default 1 just so that I can create very subtle movements. Yaw is usually 0.10 so that the turns aren't dramatic. I also use two joystick macros ... one to to turn on auto-level, the other to turn it off. It works by starting up the Debug Settings and doing "AutoLeveling" True/False. Real handy. :)
